Kosmogonie

Bosse Provoost, Ezra Veldhuis

“We are interested in what lies ‘beyond’ us as human beings, in what is fundamentally ‘strange’ to us. We want to pulverize images until only a few rays of light remain." - Bosse Provoost  & Ezra Veldhuis

In 2018, together with Ezra Veldhuis and others, Bosse Provoost created Matisklo, in which he probed the limits of the expressible and visualizable on the basis of poems by Paul Celan, and in which there were introverted ‘figures’ in surprising costumes that engulfed a person. Bosse Provoost and visual artist Ezra Veldhuis are now continuing on that path in the black box and are seeking a ‘cosmogony’: the birth of something out of nothing, a space out of the void. The two share a desire to construct and transform a space with light.

In an immersive theatre/art performance, they explore the relation between light and reality. A new nebula of stars unfolds in a play with light, colour and space.
