The heroes of ... Tom Van Laere

A simple formula: an intimate concert hall like the Bourla and a versatile musician like Admiral Freebee who, for two weeks long, invites his heroes to visit.

Heroes, they're other musicians who inspire Admiral Freebee. He brings them to the Bourla and maybe even plays a part of the concert together with them. Heroes, they're also theatre performers and film-makers that appeal to him. Freebee's vision is broad too: some heroes are from here in Belgium but most of them are foreign.

Admiral Freebee is the name under which Antwerp's Tom Van Laere (1974) performs. His fourth CD The Honey & the Knife was released in February 2010, it has a very broad musical range and is scoring exceptionally well.

The names of Admiral Freebee's ‘heroes’ will be announced at a later date.
